A man has kidnapped your child and he is standing in your living room. You know that he will kill your baby if you don’t find out where he/she is. What do you do? Here he is. He’s the bad guy who has your scared little girl or boy in a location he won’t reveal. What do you do? Would you beat him or rip off his finger nails until he told you? Would you break his hands, feet and legs bone by bone to get him to tell you? I think you would. I would do the same. You know what? I bet our president would do the same for one of his daughters, too. But he wouldn’t do it for you or me. He told us that tonight in his oh so well choreographed press conference. (Notice how he didn’t call on Major Garret from Fox News?)
Our president wouldn’t even conduct enhanced interrogation to save any of us because they are torture and we (the US) are above that. We might lose thousands of our citizens but we’ll be able to hold our heads high because we didn’t stoop to their level.
These “torture” plans, prior to being used, were reviewed by medical doctors and psychologists to make sure that there would be no permanent physical or emotional harm to the detainees. Every time there was a session of water boarding, there was a physician on site in case the subject needed medical attention as a result. I don’t think that really qualifies as torture. Was John McCain tortured like that in Vietnam? What about our other POWs who have been tortured? Out of the hundreds of detainees at Guantanamo Bay, only 3 were ever the recipients of the water boarding interrogation method. I don’t think this qualifies as torture. Let's not forget that it WORKED. For 7 and a half years, we were not attacked again.
What is wrong with our president? What did he think about Air Force One scaring the hell out of everyone in NYC for that photo op? Has he apologized for that? Has anyone from his administration apologized for it? Can you imagine if Bush had done something like that? What would the press have said?
I was watching “Family Ties” a few months ago and Alex was having a journalistic quandary at his high school newspaper. His parents, who were former hippies and were extremely liberal, told him that it is the media’s job to keep an eye on the government to make sure they aren’t doing anything wrong. They said that it is the job of the press, to keep the government in check. They used the example of Watergate. Of course they would’ve, they were big libs and Watergate was pretty recent history at that time—it was the early 80’s. I bit my tongue because I was watching with one of my best friends who was and still is a big Obama supporter.
I think many of us know that our media is liberal. I have another good friend who claims to “hate” Fox News. She doesn’t even have cable so she can’t watch it so I don’t know how she can hate it, but I digress. She wants me to get my news from her media sources for a month just to test it out. She listens to and reads NPR in addition to reading MSN and watching NBC. ‘Nough said. I’m not doing it. I need news and politics. On Fox I hear the full story. I actually get to hear opposing points of view when I watch Hannity and O’Reilly. And during the democrat primaries, they were the only channel that seemed to give a damn about Hillary Clinton. I didn’t hear about her at all on other stations. The media had already decided who it supported. I almost felt sorry for her except she had done the same thing to her opponents in the past. What goes around comes around.
Check out this website. A friend on Facebook posted this link. This website is a group of Hillary democrats. They seem to be waking up to what is going on.

The Liberal Code of Beliefs
I didn't write this. I got it off of my MySpace friend, Macho Sauce's page. His friend Patrick posted it to his comments. I thought it was so great, I had to put it on here.
BTW, Macho Sauce has some outstanding monologues on youtube.com and he also has a website http://machosauceproductions.com/sauce.html. He's a great guy.
Anyway, here it is.
The Liberal Code of Beliefs
I'm a Liberal because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.
I'm a Liberal because I love the fact I can now marry whatever I want. I've decided to marry my horse.
I'm a Liberal because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene, but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.
I'm a Liberal because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.
I'm a Liberal because freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.
I'm a Liberal because when we pull out of Iraq I trust the bad guys will stop what they're doing because they now think we're good people.
I'm a Liberal because I believe people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday, CAN tell us the polar ice caps will melt away in 10 years if I don't start driving a Prius.
I'm a Liberal because I believe business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as THEY see fit.
I'm a Liberal because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who could NEVER get their agendas past the voters.
A Liberal has to believe the NRA is bad because it supports certain parts of the constitution, while the ACLU is good because it supports certain parts of the Constitution.
A Liberal has to believe that the same teacher who can't teach 4th-graders how to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex.
I'm a Liberal because my head is so firmly planted up my own butt, it's unlikely I'll ever have another point of view.
"A Liberal is a person who will give away everything they don't own."

Plan B; The Morning-After Pill
I just read an article on FoxNews.com about the FDA’s allowing women who are 17 to get the Plan B pill, or Morning-After Pill, over the counter. It says that prior to this, 18 was the youngest age women could get this pill. The article stated that the pill’s opponents (social conservatives) argue that it is an abortion pill because it can prevent a fertilized egg from implanting. They also say that “it would encourage promiscuity, and might even become a tool for criminals running prostitution rings, as well as for sexual predators”.
I highly doubt that teens are going to become more promiscuous because of the availability of this pill to 17 year olds. When I was 17, I certainly had friends who were 18. I asked my 13 year old daughter what she thought about it and she said that using actual birth control seemed like the best thing to do. She didn’t see the reason to let it get to the point of needing the Plan B pill. However, since 2 of my 3 children were not planned, I can understand how things can happen.
Can I just say that I HOPE it becomes a tool in prostitution rings? I assume it probably already is a tool for them-these people are criminals, why would they wait just for it to be legal for 17 year olds to begin using it? I know about the horrible sex-slavery that goes on throughout the world and it really is awful-I am not, in any way condoning or belittling that. I’m just saying that rather than force these women (or girls because many of the prostitution ring victims are children) to get pregnant and have an actual abortion when the baby is 3-6 months along, let them induce what is essentially an early miscarriage--if any fertilization has taken place. There needs to be something done about breaking up the sex slavery rings and saving the people who are already prisoners but that is a different topic.
I don’t see how sex crimes are going to be made worse if this pill is available to 17 year olds. The number of sexual predators will not increase, although there may be fewer babies born as a result. I think these arguments are grasping at straws.
The social conservatives out there are hypocritical in a lot of ways. Most of these people are very pro-gun (which I am too) and they admonish restrictive gun laws that punish no one other than the law abiding citizens who are exercising their constitutional right to own a gun. I admonish those laws as well. However, the anti-gun liberals use the same weak arguments about limiting the rights of gun owners under the guise of preventing criminal activity. Criminals do not abide by the law, whatever it is. If the government took away all the legal and registered guns in the country, we would be left with only the bad guys having guns.
If my daughter were raped, I would want her to have a Morning-After Pill in the hospital. If she had a night of poor decision making, I would also want her to have a Morning-After Pill. Plan B just does not bother me. I think preventing what may or may not be a pregnancy from going any further than the first 72 hours is a great alternative to later killing your embryo or fetus. I don’t like abortions, any more than the next guy. I consider myself pro-life but if a 16 year old girl can stop a potential pregnancy in the first 72 hours, I think she should do it.

Tea Party Update
I went and had a fabulous time! There were over 20,000 of us. It was great to be among other people who share my anti-taxation sentiment. It's easy to feel isolated sometimes here in Atlanta. I did NOT see CNN. I wasn’t everywhere and so I can’t swear no one from CNN was there covering it but I have heard they did not. The only footage of CNN’s Tea Party coverage I can find on youtube is that nasty woman being rude to the guy she was interviewing. Typical. Her goal was clearly to make him and the whole event out to be a right-wing, anti-government rally. The lady in the CNN studio wasn’t any better. Can you believe that? CNN is right here in Atlanta—FOX News traveled from NY to cover it. I leaned against the WSB Channel 2 News van the whole time so I know they were there, too. Of course, Sean Hannity’s radio show is on WSB here in Atlanta.
There were so many different kinds of people—Republican, Democrat, Independent, Libertarian. I saw black people there and I commend them for coming. I commend them for being there in spite of the Liberal Media telling everyone that it was a rally for selfish, rich white people. Even if it were a protest just for rich people, who says that there wouldn’t be any black people there as well? Who says blacks are not rich? Who says they can’t be business owners? Liberals say that. That’s the divisiveness of the Liberals. Wealthy, successful black people are just as fed up with punitive taxation as white people. This issue is color blind.
My dad and I went to a Republican rally for McCain here in Roswell during the elections. We sat with 2 black women who are Atlanta small business owners and they as well as their families are Republicans. They noticed the news cameras that were there purposely trying to avoid getting them on camera. They laughed at that but really, it’s pretty scary. Why does the media try to keep the truth from us? The media likes to portray Republicans as wealthy and/or red-neck, racist, selfish white men and obviously, that is just not the way it is.

Atlanta Tea Party
I’m going to the Atlanta Tea Party tonight. I am very excited! I just read an article on CNN.com about the TEA Parties around the country. I was impressed, I think it was actually a pretty fair assessment of the protestors’ motives—we weren’t portrayed as the “Right-Wing Extremists” the White House DHS calls us. I have heard that no liberal media is covering these protests but I will be surprised if I don’t see CNN tonight. They’ve got to keep up some appearance of being an authentic news source.
What is up with being named “Right-Wing Extremists”? Did the Bush administration call its critics names? Did Bush accuse people who hated him of being “hate mongers” or “terrorists”? (Radical Islamists who kill people are Freedom Fighters but WE are terrorists because we disagree with the president and his administration) If he had, that would have been just as scary as it is when Obama says it. As Americans, we have the right to voice our opinions. We have the right to disagree with our government. Even though I disagreed with (and still do) all those people with the “War is not the answer” bumper stickers and yard signs, I support their right to voice that opinion. I think what we’re all seeing that it’s okay, if not in-style, to hate Republicans but it is hate-speech to disagree with Democrats.
I saw a black lady at Wal-Mart last night wearing an Obama sweat shirt. She and I had a friendly interaction in the egg department. I got the impression that she was pro-Obama because of his skin color. I might be wrong. For all I know she was a socialist and she loves his ideas about running the country. But I am inclined to think the former.
First, what is up with this president’s face on clothing?? What president has ever had his own line of clothing? That is something dictators do. Oh yeah, on a side note, idiot Debra Messing referred to Obama as “the ruler of the free world” in one of those snippet interviews I saw in some magazine. What a moron. Although, it does seem he is trying to become that.
Anyway, when are people going to wake up and see that Obama is not good for the country, even if he is black? There are so many people who don’t know anything about our Constitution or the way our government was set up, it seems to just be sneaking up on us. The government is taking over and not enough people are paying attention. How many people are outraged because Obama fired the CEO of GM? How many people know that he didn't have the right or the authority to do that?
The TEA Party is at the Capital Building tonight from 7-11. Hope to see you there!

Global Warming
I am just wondering why so many people are buying into the claim that we are all about to burn up from Global Warming. Why are they so unwilling to listen to any information that disputes the theory of Global Warming? The left-wing, liberal media tells us lies about this. How many people know that GE owns NBC? GE makes a bunch of products that are "environmentally responsible". NBC is forever touting the dangers of Global Warming. See the connection? In case you don't, as long as we buy into the myth of man-made Global Warming, we will buy GE's "environmentally friendly" products.
Personally, I will not buy any more GE products just for that reason. I recently had to go buy a new microwave and I purposely avoided anything GE. I got myself a great microwave that was within my budget and had everything I wanted. Take that, GE.
Did anybody see Glenn Beck's interview with John Coleman on CNN? I can't believe CNN actually aired it. John Coleman is the founder of the Weather Channel and he claims that man-made Global Warming is a hoax. Why would he say that if he didn't believe it? Why would he believe that if he didn't have good reason? If you missed that interview, you can see it on youtube.
There are hundreds of climatologists and scientists around the world saying the same thing but you don't hear about them on NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN. Can anyone tell us with any certainty that it will or will not rain next month and on what day? No. Why do we think they can tell us the Earth will burn up in 10 years? Has anyone else noticed how cold it has been around the country this winter? Just a question...
Has anyone heard of the Cap and Trade tax? So far, it has not passed. That's the tax that will increase your monthly heating and cooling bills in the name of fighting Global Warming. That's the kind of stuff the Left wants-it’s their motive for the Global Warming scare. More taxes, more power. That tax is also aimed at the low-income earners that the Left claims to care so much about. It will hit all of us. Enjoy your "tax break" 95%...

Socialism
The political climate of today is quite different from the one I grew up in. I grew up in the heart of Atlanta, Ga. I was the token Republican in all of my schools, except maybe for the Catholic school I went to. Politics just wasn't as big a deal then as it is now. I have been surrounded by liberals my whole life and it never seemed to matter very much. But today, so many of my childhood friends are still clinging to their liberal beliefs and I cannot figure out why.
I have some very good, very smart friends who were chomping at the bit for Obama. Of course, there are the ones who don't know anything about Obama or what he planned to do to the country but they wanted to fit in and be chic and vote for him. Then there are the ones who actually seem to be politically active and they still voted for him. I don't get it.
I've had a couple of people (not of my close friends) tell me they actually support Socialism. The only thing I can figure out is that they are not the producers in the American economy, they are the bottom feeders. They think Socialism will benefit them.
Does anyone remember the USSR?? The Union of the Soviet SOCIALIST Republics. We always think of the USSR as having been communist but it was SOCIALIST. Communism is the final stage of socialism. It's a THEORETICAL economic system. Remember the lines people stood in to buy toilet paper? Remember all the defectors? Remember how awful it was for those people? Why would we want any part of that?
Why do people feel it's alright to steal money from people who worked hard for it and give it to people who did not? If I hold a gun to man's head on the street, steal $500 from him and give it to one of those panhandlers who intimidate women for "spare change", I think I committed a crime. That is essentially what Socialism is.
I just can't believe that we elected a president who hates our country, our military and white people. Has anyone else bothered to read the White House website? I am watching our country fall apart at the hands of the Democrats and it weighs on me.
I just hope that the people who voted for Obama are still crying tears of joy about our wonderful black president when they lose their jobs and the country sinks into another and even greater Depression.
